Get To Know Your Lake Katrine Dentist Staff

Dr. Karl E. Kruse is the newest specialist at The Dentists’ Office. Originally from Deposit, NY Dr. Krause went to Ithaca College for his undergraduate education. While at Ithaca, he was member of the Bomber football team. Dr. Krause went to Boston University for his Dental Medicine education, and completed his Oral & Maxillofacial surgery training at West Virginia University. He has received many awards for Excellence in Patient Care and Facial Trauma Research.

Dr. Krause is married to his wife Julie, and together they have a son, Mason. He enjoys spending time with his family and English Bulldog, Wilma. He also fills his free time by weight lifting, jogging, football and fishing.

Allison is a graduate of Onteora High School in Boiceville. She received her training in the Ulster County BOCES’ program for dental assistants. A resident of West Hurley, Allison lives with her husband and three children.

When she can find some time for herself, Allison enjoys reading, gardening, bicycling, walking, crafts and golfing. Allison has been a dental assistant since 1974.

B.J. has been a dental assistant with Dentists’ Office of the Hudson Valley since we opened in 1983. She attended the Dental Assisting Program at Dutchess Community College, as well as orthodontic programs in Houston and Dallas. B.J. is experienced in pediatric behavior management as well as early, interceptive orthodontics. She was instrumental in setting up our orthodontic programs.

B.J. lives in Poughkeepsie with her husband and enjoys horses, dogs, and walking. A married daughter, who is also a dental assistant, lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and two songs. A son, who just finished his Master’s Program at Saint Rose in Educational Psychology, lives in Albany. B.J.’s youngest daughter is pursuing a career in Social Justice and Economic at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York.
